U of Illinois hosted the Veritas Forum
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Lincoln Hall
U of Illinois Professor Ned O’Gorman moderated the Forum
Ned (left in photo above) did a great job moderating this public discussion and kept the good conversation moving well.
Here’s a video of Dr. John Walton’s presentation “Origins Today” that is virtually identical to the one he gave on Friday November 15, 2013 to GCF on how best to faithfully read Genesis 1 & 2. Dr. Walton is a careful believing scholar of the Old Testament at Wheaton College and Graduate School.
If you are a professor in the humanities or social sciences, there is currently a faculty small group for you. Contact Contact us for more info on that.
If you are a professor in one of the STEM disciplines and would like to help develop or be part of an integration of faith, learning and practice small group, please let us know.
May this semester be one of spiritual growth for us all.
A "Must Listen to" Audio Dr. Cal DeWitt of the UW-Madison on "How to be Busy, Productive and Happy: Time Management for the Christian Academic"
"The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting. It has been found difficult and left untried."
-- G. K. Chesterton
"Christianity does not involve the belief that all things were made for man. It does involve the belief that God loves man and for his sake became man and died."
-- C. S. Lewis
"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
– Paul to the Colossians believers in Col. 2:6-7
